Privacy

The short version for people just browsing: no cookies, no identification, no tracking. Aggregate, anonymous visit statistics are collected by a self-hosted analytics instance on infrastructure operated by the site owner. The only personal data we actively collect is the email address of people who explicitly opt in to the weekly digest — see “Email subscriptions” below for the details of that one exception.

What we do not do

• No cookies are set, no localStorage is written, no browser fingerprinting is performed.
• No user accounts, no sign-up, no login, no profile data.
• No comments, no forums, no file uploads — the only form on the site is the optional newsletter subscription described below.
• No advertising, no marketing partners, no data sales. Subscribers’ addresses are shared only with our email-delivery provider (see “Email subscriptions”).
• No cross-site or cross-device tracking. Visits cannot be linked to you across sessions or to any other website.

Analytics

We run a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance at analytics.quantumponies.com, owned and operated by the same entity that runs this site (see Impressum). It records aggregate page-view metrics (URL of the visited page, referrer, screen size, browser, operating system, and country derived from the IP address). Your IP address itself is processed only in memory to produce a daily-rotating hash and is never stored; the hash is used to count unique visitors within a 24-hour window and cannot be reversed.

No data is transmitted to any third party — neither Plausible the company nor any other processor. The lawful basis for this processing is the operator’s legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email subscriptions

You can opt in to a weekly email digest. We collect only the address you submit and the UI language you had selected at the moment of signup. The flow is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link in the first email. Every digest email contains an unsubscribe link — clicking it takes effect immediately and deletes your address from our database on the spot, we keep no record of past subscribers.

Storage: addresses live in the same SQLite database as the site. They are never published, used only to send the digest, and never sold or shared with third parties outside the delivery chain. Delivery is handled by Resend (Resend B.V., Netherlands) acting as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR; no tracking pixels are embedded in the emails. Lawful basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), withdrawn any time via the unsubscribe link.

Server logs

The web server may temporarily record standard access metadata (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for the sole purpose of operating the site and defending against abuse. These logs are not used for analytics, are not shared with any third party, and are rotated out within a short retention window.

Content on the site

All summaries displayed here are generated from public legal data (legalize-dev/legalize-at) using Anthropic’s Claude. No user-submitted content is stored, because no input from visitors is accepted.
