Supplementary exam option for Electromechanician trainees to qualify as Telecom Installer
Trainees who have completed their final exam as Electromechanician (Elektromechaniker) may take an additional exam to become qualified as Telecom Installers (Fernmeldemonteur) until 31 December 1978. The supplementary exam covers a technical discussion (Fachgespräch) and follows the same rules as the main exam.
What changed
A new provision allows Electromechanician trainees to sit for a supplementary exam in the Telecom Installer trade until the end of 1978. This option was added to the exam regulations for Telecom Installers.
Who is affected
Trainees who have successfully completed their final apprenticeship exam (Lehrabschlußprüfung) in the Electromechanician trade can use this pathway to gain qualification as Telecom Installers.
What the supplementary exam covers
The supplementary exam consists solely of a technical discussion (Fachgespräch). It is governed by the same rules as sections 4–6 of § 2 of the main exam regulations.
Important deadline
This option is only available until 31 December 1978. After that date, this supplementary pathway is no longer permitted.
