Austrian Post: Operational hardship allowance (BSZ 2026) set for employees

Who is affected
This regulation applies to all employees (Bedienstete) of Austrian Post AG and companies that have been formed from it through restructuring under existing corporate law and are assigned to provide services for the postal company.

Employees should verify that they are correctly classified under this regulation and that the allowance is properly reflected in their salary. The regulation took effect on 1 October 2026 and was published in the Federal Law Gazette (BGBl. II Nr. 258/2026).
