Regulation on accident insurance supplement for avalanche commission members repealed
A 2009 regulation that required members of the local avalanche commission in Mitterbach am Erlaufsee to be included in statutory accident insurance supplementary coverage has been repealed effective July 15, 2026.
What changed
The regulation (published in Austrian Federal Law Gazette II No. 23/2009) that mandated inclusion of local avalanche commission members in accident insurance supplementary coverage under § 22a of the General Social Insurance Act (Allgemeines Sozialversicherungsgesetz, ASVG) has been formally repealed by Federal Law Gazette II No. 213/2026.
Who is affected
Members of the local avalanche commission (örtliche Lawinenkommission) of the municipality of Mitterbach am Erlaufsee were the only persons covered by this regulation. The repeal means this special supplementary insurance requirement no longer applies to them.
When it takes effect
The repeal became effective on July 15, 2026. This is a metadata update reflecting the formal withdrawal of the regulation from Austrian law.
