Archived text of repealed 1989 gas/water installation qualification regulation completed with exam standards and fee basis
The stored text of the 1989 ordinance on proving qualification for the gas and water pipe installation trade (repealed since 31 January 1995) has been updated: exam content requirements and the fee calculation base have been added, and metadata has been refreshed. Because the regulation is already repealed, there is no current practical effect.
What changed
In § 2(2) and § 4(2) a new paragraph was inserted specifying that the written licensing exam (Konzessionsprüfung) must incorporate current market equipment, measuring and control systems, and the state of the art in environmental protection and energy efficiency, with applicable legal provisions and technical norms to be observed. In § 11(1) the fee sentence was completed: the percentage amounts (20 %, 17 %, 15 %, 12 %) are calculated on the salary of a federal civil servant in service class V, step 2, including any cost-of-living supplement, rounded up to a Schilling amount divisible by 50, payable to the Landeshauptmann. The word 'oder' (or) was also inserted between the alternative proof paths in § 1(1), and various metadata fields were refreshed.
Who is affected
Anyone researching the historical text of this ordinance. The regulation was repealed on 31 January 1995 by BGBl. Nr. 78/1995 and has had no legal force since then, so no current applicants or practitioners are affected.
What to look out for
These are completions and corrections to the archived version of a long-repealed regulation. No action is required. The underlying trade licensing framework has been governed by successor legislation since 1995.
