Regulation on supplementary accident insurance for Bad Ischl avalanche-warning committee members repealed
This regulation, which mandated inclusion of members of the Bad Ischl avalanche-warning committee (Lawinenwarnkommission) in supplementary accident insurance under Austrian social security law, has been repealed effective 15 July 2026 by Federal Law Gazette II No. 213/2026.
What changed
The regulation that required the local avalanche-warning committee members in Bad Ischl to be enrolled in supplementary accident insurance (Zusatzversicherung in der Unfallversicherung) under the General Social Insurance Act (ASVG) has been formally repealed. The regulation was originally published on 23 December 2000 and remained in force for over 25 years.
Who is affected
Members of the Bad Ischl avalanche-warning committee who were previously covered by this supplementary accident insurance requirement are affected by the repeal.
When it takes effect
The repeal became effective on 15 July 2026.
